Performance Food Group is proud to be taking an active role in addressing hunger in America by partnering with America's Second Harvest—The Nation's Food Bank Network. In 2005, we formed a companywide partnership with America’s Second Harvest, the largest hunger-relief organization in the country. Through more than 200 regional food banks, they distribute food to 23 million hungry Americans.

America's Second Harvest is a national organization that transports food and grocery products to food banks for distribution to hungry Americans. Most of us don't really know what it means to be hungry. Yet, hunger is all around us.

We donate food and food-related products from many of our operating companies. We also made a $500,000 five-year commitment to support hunger relief in the communities we serve. More importantly, our associates are volunteering their time and talents by working in the food bank warehouses, conducting local food drives, and raising funds in their communities. It's a commitment that provides the three things that are needed most: food, funds and volunteers. By partnering with America's Second Harvest, we're able to contribute to the nation's largest hunger relief charity while also contributing locally. The combination of our resources and their expertise will make a difference in communities across the country.
