Flanagan's, Fremin's and Nifty Fifties, three totally different concepts with one thing in common: quality, consistency and service. Don't be fooled by the different names. Dale, Francis and Barry Fremin, owners of the three locations, put customer satisfaction above all else.
Randy Barrios is the Chief Executive Chef and General Manager. Randy is very familiar with PFG - in fact, he is the former PFG account manager for some of our larger multi-unit customers such as Copeland’s and Marriotts. Randy understands the role that a good distributor plays in the operation of his different and unique businesses: dependability, reliability, consistent service and most importantly, his account manager during the 20 year partenship - Craig Bland.
Fremin's is housed in one of Thibodaux 's cornerstone landmarks, formally known as “The Roth Drugstore.” Mr. E. N. Roth, Sr. built the original three-story building
in 1878. In 1910, he opened the Roth Drugstore, owned and operated by the Roth family, which accommodated the drugstore, laboratories, and doctors offices. As you enjoy the wonderful ambiance of Fremin's Restaurant, you may sit and daydream of the generations of doctors, war heroes, farmers, politicians, and famous aristocrats who gathered here to make their living through bartering. The atmosphere here is quaint with original brick walls and a cypress staircase that creeks and cracks as you walk into the second floor dining area that has a balcony overlooking the main thoroughfare.
From their fresh baked bread and flavored butters to an array of signature dishes of pasta, salads, seafood, and steaks, the marriage of Creole style and Italian cooking come together in perfect harmony. Their team of culinary experts, headed by Executive Chef Kevin Templet, creates extravagant meals of exquisite renditions
of many past favorites.
Besides mouth watering steaks, you can order the superdome, which is a dessert dish with a puffed pastry shell covering the dish resembling the superdome in New Orleans.
At Flanagan’s, you get the ambience of elegance with attention to details, such as the brass railings, the frosted glass room dividers and the rich dark mahogany furniture. Here you will enjoy one of their featured seafood menu items such as Pasta Lafourche, (Louisiana oysters or shrimp fried and set over penne pasta tossed with fresh crab meat and a mushroom cream sauce, named for our parish) as well as steak and lobster dishes prepared expertly by Kevin Templet, Executive Chef and his staff.
Nifty Fifties is, well, you guessed it, a car hop theme restaurant with black and white tile floors, a free play juke box of the oldies but goodies and a menu that depicts a snapshot in time. Some menu creations such as Love Me Tender (steak), Reelin And A Rockin (fresh Louisiana catfish) and The Big Bopper (use your imagination).
The Fremin's Restaurant Group and Performance Foodservice have a great partnership and one that will last a long time. For more information on these restaurants, please visit: http://www.fremins.net.
