PFG-Powell was formed in 1932, predominantly a produce house, with the name of WJ Powell; servicing independent grocery stores, schools, and restaurants in South Georgia, North Florida, and South Alabama. In 1998 Performance Food Group purchased WJ Powell and changed the name to PFG-Powell. We became a broadline foodservice distributor servicing independent restaurants, chains, hotels, prisons, schools, caterers, retail/convenience store deli's, and B&I type accounts.
